OEM Warranty |
 |
 |
 |
If a
warrantable failure of an ArvinMeritor
component occurs during the OEM new vehicle warranty period, the dealer
should process the warranty claim through the respective OEM nameplate.
The OEM's procedures for warranty coverage and claim processing
would apply.

Vocational Warranty |
 |
 |
 |
Vocational warranty includes warrantable
failures of an ArvinMeritor component occurring after the OEM new
vehicle warranty period and within the extended warranty
period. Vocational warranties
are designed to tie product offerings to the declared use of the
vehicle (vocation) at the time a truck is put in service and is extended
to the owner of the vehicle. Coverage depends on how the vehicle is
used, the drive train components specified, and the conditions under
which it is operated. Terms and conditions are detailed on each Vocational
Warranty Information sheet in the "Vocational Warranty" brochure
(SP-95155). The ArvinMeritor Vocational Warranties are updated concurrently
with new vehicle model years.

ArvinMeritor Claim Process |
 |
 |
- Labor coverage is based on the ArvinMeritor standard repair time then
in effect for the appropriate labor operation times at the dealer's
published labor rate. In the absence of ArvinMeritor standard repair
times, the published OEM standard repair times will be used
for the repair. If neither ArvinMeritor nor the respective OEM
has published standard repair times, the repair will be
reimbursed for reasonable labor expense as determined
by ArvinMeritor.
- ArvinMeritor reserves the right to have all applicable failed materials
available and/or returned to ArvinMeritor for review and
evaluation within 40 days of the receipt of the claim.
