Active Roll Control
ArvinMeritor’s new Active Ride Control Technology
can help eliminate the compromise between vehicle ride and handling.
During straight-line vehicle operations, ArvinMeritor’s Active Roll
Control system decouples the stabilizer bar for improved ride and
passenger comfort. Under hard cornering, or evasive maneuvers, a
torque is induced in the stabilizer bar to counter the vehicle roll
moment and ultimately reduce body roll angle. Benefits include
improved vehicle handling, stability and performance, and reduced
vehicle rollover risks – without compromising straight-line ride
quality. This electronically controlled, servo pump-operated system
generates power on demand, resulting in much lower power consumption
compared to many other systems available on the market.
Benefits:
- Meets requirements of multiple
vehicles on a single platform
- Independent control of front and
real roll rates
- Best-in-class performance

Active Roll Control Stabilizer Bar System
ArvinMeritor's Active Roll Control Stabilizer Bar System meets the requirements of multiple vehicles on a single platform. It is derived from a single, center-bar rotary actuator that can be connected to a servo pump to provide single-channel or dual-channel active roll control. This system is capable of independent control of front and rear roll rates, and has the ability to adjust roll couple distribution real-time.
