Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) business group announces the opening of a new
Global Center of Excellence located in Limeira, SP, Brazil. The
state-of-the-art 37,000 square foot facility houses research and development
for Fumagalli™ brand steel wheels, with expanded engineering and program
management capabilities to support the LVS growth strategy for body and
chassis systems in South America. “The Global Center of Excellence provides
superior engineering support which is a competitive advantage to our
regional customers in growing markets like the BRIC countries of Brazil,
Russia, India and China,” said Phil Martens, president, LVS, ArvinMeritor.

of its Dynamic Height Control System for the Pratt & Miller C6RS

STUTTGART, Germany (May 7, 2008) – ArvinMeritor, Inc.
(NYSE: ARM) announced today the start of production for the
Dynamic Height Control (DHC) suspension system to be used on the
Pratt & Miller C6RS Chevrolet Corvette. An example of the system
is displayed in the company’s exhibit at the 2008 Vehicle Dynamics
Expo in Stuttgart, Germany.

(NYSE: ARM) today shared details of its model-based chassis
controls architecture and its electrically-driven power pack for
active roll control applications from its Light Vehicle Systems (LVS)
business group. These products were revealed during the 2008
Vehicle Dynamics Expo in Stuttgart, Germany.
ArvinMeritor has developed a common, model-based controls
architecture called Global Chassis Control (GCC) for
implementation across all chassis smart systems™. This unifying
vehicle dynamics algorithm controls mechatronic chassis systems.
In addition, the approach maximizes algorithm reuse and shortens
chassis development time, while reducing overall project risks.
ArvinMeritor developed system and actuator controls, providing
full support capability for stand-alone or fully integrated
systems.

today announced a significant investment made in the technical
capabilities of its Vehicle Dynamics Technology Center (VDTC)
located in Troy, Mich., United States, to better serve OEMs
throughout the world. The VDTC serves the company’s Light Vehicle
Systems (LVS) business group as its global center for excellence
for vehicle chassis systems. Today’s announcement was made from
the company’s display booth in Stuttgart, Germany at the 2008
Vehicle Dynamics Expo. The company’s Vehicle Dynamics Technology
Center now boasts 58,000 sq. ft. and houses advanced engineering,
testing, validation, vehicle build operations, prototyping, core
damper technology and program management functions. With the
expansion, the VDTC is equipped to offer aftermarket product
development and technical support with additional resources for
specialty products engineering, and commercial vehicle damper
development and design.

Automobile
Beijing, China (April
21, 2008) – ArvinMeritor (NYSE:
ARM) announced today
that its Chassis Systems business unit within the Light Vehicle
Systems (LVS) business group has been awarded new business with
Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. for the supply of approximately 10
million complete shock and strut module assemblies over five
years. Production will begin in early 2009 to supply several new
and existing vehicle platforms.
