Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket – Europe

ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket (CVA) business in Europe has a dual approach to exceeding customer expectations. It provides exceptional service parts support for a wide range of products supplied as original equipment, and supplies a comprehensive line of premium-quality aftermarket parts through both independent and original equipment channels.

Two customer service centers are the first link with ArvinMeritor’s customers. These centers are the beginning of a world-class supply chain that sources and ships all service parts on time and with accuracy. The Zurich, Switzerland, location is the central hub for Europe. A second center in the Midlands region of the United Kingdom serves that country, as well as Ireland and surrounding export territories. At both locations, inquiries such as part number identification are routed via dedicated telephone numbers to technical helpline experts who speak English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Dutch.

CVA’s two main distribution and warehousing facilities are similarly located to the customer service sites, with one in central England and the other strategically located in Germany. Approximately 15,000 order lines are handled per month by the CVA Europe distribution team; for this operation, there is a combined storage area of 10,000 square meters and 13,000 rack locations. An average of 300 tonnes of parts is shipped every week from these locations, to service stock requirements for distributors and stock handlers throughout Europe and the export territories.

Additionally, vehicle off-road (VOR) emergencies are fully supported, with courier deliveries sent directly from the main warehouses. Deliveries are targeted for a 24-hour delivery throughout most of Europe.

About the Meritor® Brand

With the merger of industry leaders Arvin Industries and Meritor Automotive to create ArvinMeritor in July 2000, a unique and complementary range of products was established. Meritor brought to the newly merged company its longstanding experience in the heavy truck, bus and trailer sector, where it had occupied the leading position as a supplier of complete commercial vehicle axle, braking and suspension systems for on- and off-highway vehicles.

Today, axle and brake products for commercial vehicles, previously known under the trade names Lucas, ROR and Rockwell, are all distributed under the Meritor brand. ROR parts include trailer axles, as well as suspension systems and ancillary products. The full line of commercial vehicle aftermarket replacement parts for drive axles, front steer axles and braking systems marketed in Europe are also labeled with the Meritor brand.

Each Meritor brand product is made to original equipment specification and quality standards. Any engineering changes required to replacement parts are incorporated on request to guarantee full serviceability and performance.
