ArvinMeritor Responds to Customer’s Aftermarket Needs with New XpresswayPlus.com Feature
TROY, Mich. (October 14, 2002) –
As a result of customer feedback, ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket
recently added a new feature called “Price and Availability” to its
XpresswayPlus.com online ordering system. “Price and Availability” enables
customers to quickly and easily check prices and stock availability for a list
of part numbers without having to build a shopping cart.
To use the new
feature, customers simply log on to XpresswayPlus.com using their authorized ID
and password and then click “Price and Availability” on the menu bar. If they
decide to place an order, they can click on the “Add to Shopping Cart” option to
have their list transferred to their shopping cart for purchase. It is not
necessary to retype part numbers when purchasing items previously checked with
the “Price and Availability” feature.
XpresswayPlus.com is the first full-featured online
ordering system to address the commercial vehicle aftermarket. The system
enables warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and
dealers to quickly and easily order aftermarket parts. A wealth of information
is available to customers through XpresswayPlus.com, including a parts catalog
with more than 100,000 undercarriage and drivetrain components, in-depth
technical information, enlarged views of products and assemblies for
ArvinMeritor truck-related parts and components, and real-time pricing
information and availability. Customers can also check the status of their
orders, track shipments and print invoices.
XpresswayPlus.com’s easy-to-use format enhances our
value to the customer and strengthens our position in the marketplace. The tool
saves time, improves accuracy and increases customer satisfaction, because it
puts the customer in the “driver’s seat” during the ordering
process.
