Kevin Frailey is senior director, business strategy, for the Air and Emissions Technologies group within the Light Vehicle Systems business group of ArvinMeritor, Inc. In this position, he directs the business strategy process for the group, including determining a five-year operating plan, setting strategic goals and directing technology roadmaps that examine the future direction of the business. Frailey also led integration efforts after ArvinMeritor’s 2003 acquisition of German exhaust leader Zeuna Stärker.
Frailey began his career in 1988 with Arvin Industries, and held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, including account manager for the Arvin Exhaust business with Ford passenger cars from 1995 until 1997, director of worldwide supplier development for continuous improvement from 1997 until 1998, and director of the Ford Group, Europe, from 1998 until 1999. The next year, he managed a team of 30 engineers as commercial engineering director of the Ford Group, North America. Before assuming his current position in 2002, Frailey was vice president of the Ford Business Group, where he served as general manager for global Ford, Mazda, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo
accounts.
Frailey holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics and management from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and a masters of business administration from the Harvard Business School.
