Kurt Burmeister is director of ArvinMeritor Commercial Vehicle Systems' (CVS) North American Field Operations. In this position, he is responsible for the entire CVS field sales and service organization. His primary focus is to promote the company's DriveTrain Plus™, The Industry's Most Complete System and further the company's expanding array of advanced technologies.

Burmeister continues to leverage the company's existing relationships and augment the customer base by seeking potential new sales for CVS' industry-leading drivetrain components. To facilitate this process, Burmeister conducts routine reviews of the field organizations performance and implements methods to increase productivity of district and national account sales activities.

Burmeister joined the company in 1983 and has excelled in numerous management positions, including Director of Strategic Marketing, Director of Marketing - Axles, and Director of Sales and Marketing for the company's former Automotive Electronics business. His career highlights include two product patents, record sales in automotive electronics, and a significant increase in the axle market share, and two key team-recognition awards from the company's chairman.

Burmeister holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and transportation administration from Michigan State University and a master's degree from Central Michigan University.
