"Pirates of Chickasha" Fight for a Cure

The Chickasha, Okla. facility recently participated in the Grady County Relay for Life event, raising more than $4,500 for cancer research. To illustrate its “Pirates of the Caribbean – Search for a Cure” theme, the team built a pirate ship using scrap material on a 53-foot flatbed trailer donated by a local business. Dressed in pirate gear and participating in the event were employees Anita Fowler, Donita Riley, Gates Sellers, Carmen Murphy, Billy Stanford, Kathy Beeler, Ginny Mills, Kristi Ryans, Charlotte Oliver, Cindy Mullin, James Danielson, Howard Carpenter, Candy Garrett, Dianna Clifton, Bob Kuhlman, Ali Vardasebi, Marletta Bell (team captain), Albert Ryans (Davy Jones) and Dan Hammons (Captain Jack Sparrow). The crew sold hamburgers, hotdogs and frozen drinks on the ship during the 12-hour event, while Jack and Davy posed for pictures with participants.
